Product: Pavilion G7
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I had the same problem on my Pavilion G7. I performed all of the diagnostics tests on the adapter and battery too. Test results said the battery failed and needed replacing.

 I may have found another solution to the problem. I performed a BIOS update to my G7, and afterwards, the battery is charging right up and quickly. Try this step before buying a new AC adapter or Battery.
