I'm having problems with the battery/power.

The charger wouldn't go into the port properly at first. Went in. Comes on but doesn't charge.

Light changes from orange to blue/white. Now it wont charge past 2%. But it is on. Says 'Plugged In' .

Googled all the different tests to do but I'm still unsure how to proceed. I don't want to effect my warranty or anything like that and the laptop is only 8months old so why is this happening? 

 

I did:

The device management thing - not sure if it worked. 

The F2 components test thing - on AC Adapter and the battery - unsure what results mean

HP battery check thing - came up with 'Replace 42' but is kinda of contridicted by the F2 tests. 

 

Can anyone help please?
