Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My battery drains quick. Whenever I plug in my laptop via AC Adapter the battery indicator shows charging for 15 secs and then stops charging for about 5-10 secs and again charges.

this cycle repeats and is seen easily as the screen lits up and dims and at the point of charging it keeps fluctuating between orange(charging) and white (not charging).

I removed the battery and used directly AC supply and it didn’t show any signs of fluctuation.

I also did basic cleaning of the battery ports and reinserted it and it gave the same problem.

 

any idea what could be possibly wrong?

 

HP Diagnostics came as Test “Cancelled” for Battery Check, though I didn’t interrupt it while the process was running. Same results despite trying it for more than 5 times.

 

Logic State: Weak, Charging State: OK
