A few months ago I noticed that the battery in my laptop was discharging by 5% to 7% an hour while the laptop is turned off, which wasn't the case before. I didn't pay much attention as the battery was already quite bad and about to be replaced.

So right now my laptop has a brand new original battery, but the same issue occurs. I've turned off fast startup, reinstalled Microsoft battery drivers, tested the battery (passed).

I'm starting to think that the issue was brought with either one of the latest BIOS updates (around summer), or recent Windows updates, as like I said, this wasn't the case before June, even with the old battery.

Is there anything I can do to stop the battery from discharging while the laptop is turned off? Just today I turned the laptop off with the battery fully charged, and found the battery at 94% only an hour later!
