HP Pavilion - 14-ce3510sa
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I have a HP Pavilion - 14-ce3510sa whose battery drains very quickly. Most noticeably, the battery can run down more than 10% overnight while hibernating. It has done this since the beginning (the laptop is nearly a year old, but still within warranty as of the time of writing), and I have tried various methods to troubleshoot (e.g. giving it a few charging cycles to see if that would help, and then using tips from the virtual assistant).

The battery check on the device gave the battery a "pass" about a week ago, and while I understand that background functions use battery, no previous laptop has gone down more than 10% overnight.

There are no error messages, and I mostly use wifi to connect to the internet, if that helps.

When the laptop is in use, 5 mins of youtube can take the battery down by about 12%, which is rather a lot for a relatively sparingly used laptop of one year.

I have recently switched to Windows 11, which has not made a difference.

Thankful for any advice!
