Product: HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13-ae0xx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The laptop running on the battery and is charged to 70%. Suddenly the laptop shuts down and will not restart unless I connect the charger. When it does restart the battery shows zero % and it needs an hour to charge back to 100%. Does this indicate I need a new battery?

 

Not sure if it is related, but this laptop was fixed twice while on warranty for a startup error saying that the fans were not working. Then, about 3 months after the warranty ended, the same error happened again. So, this laptop never really functioned properly.
