HP Probook 440 g4
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi guys!

I have a HP probook 440 g4 with Win 10 64-bit.

Suddenly a MBR problem occurred. (blue screen with an error "Unmountable BootDevice" sad face and then rebooting)

Tried pressing f11 at startup. Result: HP logo, "Wait" at the bottom of the screen ..........then black screen and no activity at all.

tried ESC button, f2, f10, f9 and all other solutions...nothing. The harddrive is fine according to the test.

Created a bootable USB-stick using windows creation tool, and one with Rufus. Turned Legacy on and secure boot off in UEFI BIOS. In the Bootorder option my Legacy USB stick showed up and when I booted from it everything started out fine for about 15 sec and the win logo showed up on the screen. Then the screen turned black, again.

I tried the same thing using a bootable DVD and an external dvd player. Exact same result.

There are no beeps or blinking lights at power on.

What can possibly be wrong here?

Best regards

Mattias
