new HP Z2 Mini G3 Workstation
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I purchased a a HP ZZ mini G3 Workstation a little over a month ago, since acquiring it all i have installed is Adobe Premier pro and Adobe after effects to edit music videos shot on a 4k camera, at present the computer is running dog slow,i have had tried to move the footage off of the computer onto a external hardrive and its still as bad

Am i missing a trick here? do i need to add something to my computer to make it perform better? after all it did cost the best part of £1500 and its performing worse than my 7 year old macbook.

the spec i have is as follows

  • Intel Core i7-6700 3.4GHz
  • 16GB DDR4 + 256GB SSD
  • NVIDIA Quadro M620(2 GB
  • Windows 7 / 10 Pro
  • 3 Years Warranty

if any one can advise me on how i get the best out of this i would be most grateful
