Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've Elitebook 840 G1 with following specifications

Core i7 4600u

1600*900 Touch Screen

Intel-AMD Switchable graphics (8750m)

My first issue is with brightness control keys, brightness control keys work intermittently and are in not working state most of the time. I have to use window's default 5 brightness stages. To have a finer control I've to either open display settings or disable and reenable intel graphics driver in device manager.

The issue seems to be with switchable graphics as the issue usually starts when graphics are switched either due to launching a game, plugging in / out external power or resuming plugged in after a sleep initiated on battery power or vice-versa, simply plugging in or out sometimes restores the functionality if it ceased to function due to later(est?) statement.

Things I've tried so far:

  1. Clean Install of Windows 10
  2. Latest Graphics Drivers from Intel and AMD's website. (Switchable graphics fail to work, only intel one's work)
  3. Graphic Drivers on HP's driver support page
  4. Trying multiple HP keyboard drivers to see if that would help
  5. Trying to change display driver individual files to latest ones to have updated components if not complete driver set.

But Failed,

So I request HP to release updated drivers that contain fix for this issue and update AMD graphics drivers to latest ones.

2nd issue is already posted and resolved in another thread but I'd like a proper fix either in form of softpaq or instruction bulletin issued by HP about making HP 3D Drive Guard work in Windows 10 v1709. The driver service works and parks the HDD heads but the indicator in the taskbar doesn't and reinstall shows an incompatibility message at startup. Though I prefer to look at LED turn orange when HDD Parks Drive Head and will be switching to SSD in near future, a fix would be nice.
