Hi Guys

I am facing a weird issue related to brightness in my Laptop

Problem:

So what happens is that the brightness gets automatically reduced to zero in my laptop , this is while I am working.
So I am forced to increase it using the brightness controls on Function keys.

Sometimes the system fights back and doesnt allow me to increase brightness ( the moment I stop punching the brightness key it gets back to zero). and its virtually impossible to increase brightness via the brightness slider that we find in

usually when things are manageable the increased brightness in control panel (display) or the notification/control panel to extreme right of Task bar.

On good days I am able to increase back the brightness and it stays okay for 30 minutes or few hours before toggling back to zero.

I heard its some kind of a windows 10 bug, any solutions ?

History

My laptop is around 3-4 years old but i only had this issue once before 2-3 months ago , after a period of discomfort everything went back to normal and I forgot about the issue.

Now for last week or so this issue has again come back, atleast one good thing is I am able to increase back my brightness for sometime and system doesnt fight back

System info

HP Pavilion 15 CC series ( 7 gen) laptop
laptop dos not have ambient light sensor , to best of my knowledge
Win 10 came pre installed
No hardware issue for LCD
system connected to mains in normal mode ( its NOT on battery mode)

Trouble shooting I tried

based on internet search I realized its a win 10 bug,
I created my own "power plan" didnt make much of a difference
under advanced setting I only have option "turn display off after" under display
