HP Probook 440 G8
Ubuntu LTS

Hello,

Recently, I bought an HP Probook 440 G8 notebook and installed Ubuntu 20.04 on the machine. After installation, it seems that the brightness control keys (F3 and F4) are mapped incorrectly. Instead of changing brightness, it's mapped to microphone on/off(F8), and when the buttons are pressed they're both malfunctionings. I've updated my kernel to the latest version, but the result's still the same.

Furthermore, an option to enroll my fingerprint is not detected in Settings->Users in Ubuntu 20.04. The fingerprint device is not even detected with lsusb

Any existing fix/solutions would be very much appreciated. TIA
