15Q-DS0007
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP 15Q-DS0007 laptop is equipped with HT03XL (Part No. L11119-855) battery. I used the battery for 2 years and suddenly observed that the battery started charging very slow. Charging used to stuck at 50-60% and laptop started switching off suddenly at 25-30% when running on battery.

When I replaced the battery, I found that, the OEM battery (original came with laptop) was bulged / swollen. After replacing the battery, now I am getting normal back-up time and proper charging / discharging performance.

I want to understand, why the battery got bulged. I am using the laptop for kids online classed, hence it gets used almost daily for 8-9 hours. I have used it always on OEM charger and the battery charging cycles at end of battery life were only 47/1000.

Should I leave the laptop on charger while using it or shall use laptop on battery till it gets drained and charge it only after getting completely discharged.
