Pavilion G7 1310us
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently replaced the mobo in my HP G7 1310us and after the swap the wifi card stopped working. "error 0702, wireless module not supported". i looked into this and it supposedly has to do with a "whitelist" issue. The card is the broadcom card that came in the computer. I recently was given an HP Elitebook 8470P and tried the intel centrino Advanced-N 6205 card from that computer and the same error persists.  Does anyone know which cards will work?

Alternatively and more preferably, is there a way to mod my BIOS to allow the native card to work and while im in there, is there a way to allow me to run a dual core gen 3 (ivy bridge) i5 processor from the elitebook? im currently on the stock gen 2 (sandy bridge) i3 processor but i have upgraded to 8gb of ram, using a 4gb stick from the elitebook.

I already tried to swap CPU's and the i3 works on both but the i5 only works in the elitebook. I did some research and supposedly i need to update the BIOS on my G7 but I cant find the update and I am not sure how to mod it to fix this. If I can update to ivy bridge, will this also fix my wireless issue?

I would just use the elite book but i prefer the 17.3" 16x9 screen on the G7, number pad, and the right shift key is broken on the elitebook, not to mention all my programs are already installed on my G7.

Can anyone help?

Thank you!
