Operating System: Chrome OS

This is my first HP chromebook 14" system and I tried testing the camera function thought the camera app as soon as got this laptop today, but the white light turns on next to the camera and nothing shows up in the app. Also, the light stays on even after the camera app is closed.

 

Tried in on Hangouts, same issue, no video display.

1. Read online that powerwash should fix this issue, tried the power wash...still nothing

2. HP forums had this link for testing camera, only black screen shows up on these tests as well.

I wanted to check if I am missing something here before deciding my next steps.
