HP - Pavilion 15.6" Gaming Laptop - AMD Ryzen 5 - 8GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 - 256GB SSD -
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I’m getting this new hp pavilion gaming laptop

with these specs:

  • AMD Ryzen 5 4600H Processor
  • 8GB system memory for advanced multitasking
  • 256GB solid state drive (SSD)
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Graphics
  • 15.6" Full HD Micro-edge display

I want to upgrade the RAM to 16gb and the SSD to 500gb my question is can I replace the SSD on this laptop fresh out of box without ever powering it on first with no issues? Then power on and use like normal.
or will have to do some sort of cloning even though the laptop is brand new never used ? I’m a serious noob? Please help
