My hands get really sweaty when typing, especially in the summer months. For this reason I was considering getting a keyboard cover to avoid any sweat going inside my laptop and causing damage to internal components.

I was just wondering if there are any disadvantages to using the keyboard cover (apart from making marks on the screen)? I have read many people say that some laptops use the keyboard as a heat sink or for ventilation - is this the case for my spectre model and, if so, will using a keyboard cover cause additional heating?
