Product: HP Omen 15t
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Hi, since this morning I've been unable to connect using my ethernet connection.
things I've done since:
- check network adapters -> ethernet adapter is missing
- check device manager -> LAN is missing
- download and install the latest LAN driver from official hp support -> doesn't do anything when I try to setup
- restart and boot to diagnostics(f2) and tried testing the wired component -> got an error "UEFI Networking does not appear to be supported or enabled on the system. Please check the BIOS settings to make sure UEFI network option ROMs are enabled and that UEFI network boot is enabled."
- restart and boot to bios(f10) -> Advanced tab is missing, no way to enable/disable UEFI network option ROMs but I was able to enable the UEFI network boot
- restart and boot to diagnostics(f2) and tried testing the wired component -> still the same error
- restart and boot to bios(f10) and load default values -> UEFI network boot got disabled again
- restart and boot to diagnostics(f2) and tried testing the wired component -> still the same error
- check network adapters -> still missing
- check device manager -> still missing
- tried to install the latest LAN driver -> still not working
My laptop is barely 2 years old and it would suck if the ethernet is already stopped working.
EDIT:
I think the main issue is this "UEFI Networking does not appear to be supported or enabled on the system." but the advanced tab on BIOS is disabled on most HP products as far as I've read so how do I fix this?
