Replaced the mainboard on an HP Chromebook 11 G5 EE chromebook. I need to re-brand the new MB with the original Serial Number from the old MB. The RMA Shims for this model all seem to be corrupted when downloaded. These files are extracting to .bin files, where as other shims are .iso files.
When I download these shims, I extract them to get the .bin file. Then I have tried using various .bin to .iso convertor apps. Next I would use an app called Rufus to convert the .iso to a bootable USB drive. The drives created from these shims have not worked.
Next I tried to virtualy mount the .iso files, but they come up as unreadable.
Please advise if possible.
I have tried all 3 of the downloads shown here.
