Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Good evening, my laptop has a strange and frustrating issue.

The problem has been occurring constantly for over a year, it occurs both with the initial version of windows preinstalled (and all hp drivers and software preinstalled) and with a clean installed, updated version of windows and updated bios.

When the screen of the laptop turns off due to inactivity, there is no way to turn it back on except by restarting the computer using the power button. When the screen is off and the laptop is unresponsive, the power led is on and does not blink, the fans are on and today I managed to turn on the backlight led of the keyboard (but it is not always possible).

I also wrote a batch script that writes a timestamp to file every minute, and I noticed that the last time written matches the minute the screen gets deactivated due to idle, which makes me suppose that the operating system crashes after that moment

I looked at all the events that occurred at that time in the Event Viewer but I found no significant errors/warnings.

I also checked the Windows error report in System Information, nothing significant there either.

Furthermore i ran sfc /scannow and chkdsk /r that gave me no errors or useful information.

The last thing I tried was disabling Fast Startup, but the issue persists

The laptop has an intel integrated graphics card with updated drivers (UHD Graphics 620), but I don't think the issue is related to the graphics card.

The problem does not occur on Linux distros

The screen deactivation time is set to 5 minutes and 10 minutes for battery power and AC power respectively, and the problem occurs exactly when this time expires

I lost several hours trying to solve the problem but I don't know what to try anymore

I hope to find a solution in this forum, good evening
