Hi,

 

After restarting my laptop for updates this morning (28/11/2017), I encountered an error where the computer no longer recognizes any audio device: 

 

This also includes the absence of the drivers in my device manager:

I have tried multiple solutions so far:

 

-https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Audio/A-Conexant-audio-device-could-not-be-found-The-applicat... the steps described in this thread, with the latest audio driver from HP (sp82074.exe), which did not solve the issue.

 

-A system restore

 

-Attempting to add "legacy hardware" in the device manager to get the audio driver to display again.

 

None of these options are working currently and this is presenting me with some serious issues as I need my sound to be able to use my laptop for work. Any suggestions would be more than appreciated!
