Product: HP Envy
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a WD15  dell dock station that works perfectly with my dell laptop. I have bought a new HP envy with display port thinking it will work the same way. It does apart from starting the laptop and turning it off remotely from the dock. Also the light on the cable does not light up. my hp connects to 2 monitors, keyboard (connected to the dell dock)  recharges and seems to work fine otherwise using the dock USB-c display port

 

WHAT SHOULD I DO TO HAVE THE ON/OFF BUTTON ON THE DOCK TO TURN ON/OFF MY HP LAPTOP? SHOULD I DOWNLOAD ALL THE RELEVANT DELL WD15 DRIVERS?
