Product: HP 6730S
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Hello to all
i know my hp 6730s notebook is an older model, but it still does its job smoothly.
I changed my old harddisk to an ssd and installed the W10 64bit OS, but there is only a problem with the video driver.
The hardware ID is:
PCI \ VEN_8086 & DEV_2A43 & SUBSYS_30E8103C&REV_07
PCI \ VEN_8086 & DEV_2A43 & SUBSYS_30E8103C
PCI \ VEN_8086 & DEV_2A43 & CC_038000
PCI \ VEN_8086 & DEV_2A43 & CC_0380
If I automatically update the driver, windows will install a (wrong) driver which causes the notebook to suddenly shut down after a few seconds.
If I install the driver for W7 64 bit that I find on the support page
https://support.hp.com/it-it/drivers/selfservice/hp-compaq-6730s-notebook-pc/3687778
install the right driver:
Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family
but even in this case the notebook suddenly turns off after a few seconds.
To make it work I have to delete the driver in safe mode.
I have searched on the intel website but again there is no more support and the latest drivers available for w7 64 bit are not working.
Is there anyone who managed to install the right video card drivers and make the hp 6730s notebook work with w10?
Thanks again
Max
