DV7-2112 Pavillion
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

WiFi keeps dropping out and can't locate any available networks.

Before when I checked the for network adapters - the wifi adapter would show as disabled.  When you clicked on it. it would pop-up a window that said it was enabled, but it still was showing as disabled.

Checking the WiFi Link5100AGN adapter in device manager showed that it was functioning correctly and was up to date.

When we received the wireless module error 701 on start-up - there was no WIFI network available and the adapter has disappeared from device manager network adapters list

A reboot re-installed the WiFi Link5100AGN adapter but the WiFi still drops out after a period of use and cannot be re-activated using either the WIFI on/offbutton, network diagnostics to reset adapters or control panel networking adapters

When you run the HP networking diagnostics it won't run any diagnostics for wi-fi adapter - just shows the test as cancelled

Operating system is 32 bit Windows 10 Home and is up-to-date

Appreciate any guidance
