I have a laptop Probook 640 which doesn't have HDMI port, but VGA and DisplayPort.   I bougth the adapter XTC358 (Display Pport male to HDMI Female adapter) in order to display on a HDMI Monitor.

The problem is that no matter how many times I plug and unplug, restart my laptop, turn on/off my monitor, Nothing happens!!, the monitor doesn't detect any signal.

I've searched in different forums, talking about 'passive/active'' DisplayPorts, but I haven't found a solution for my laptop. Please HELP!!
