Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've been looking at various docking stations for this laptop and it appears that a good number of them are using the laptop's USB-A port, with others using the type-C port.  When I look at the laptop's specs I see that the 2 type-A  ports say "storage only", even though they say USB 3.1 Gen 1, same as the C port . Can I surmise from this that any docking station I buy needs to plug into the type-C port becuase of that "storage only" designation?

A lot of the docking stations using type-A have the square input while a few have a C adapter that adapts the usb-C to the docking station's A input. I guess what's thowing me was I thought that the USB type-A couldn't output to multiple devices like the type-C does, which may be wrong.

Hope this mades sense, because it barely does to me.

Thanks
