Product: EliteBook 1040 G4
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I received a new EliteBook 1040 G4 this week. I was inspecting it as I took it out of the box and noticed that the back of the unit seems somewhat loose, though none of the screws are loose. That is, when I tap lightly on the bottom of the unit you can hear the bottom tapping against the interior electronics. I recognize this is a somewhat strange observation, but it feels like the bottom of the unit should be solid. I previously had an EliteBook 1040 G2, and the bottom of the unit was solid. It's possible I just received a defective unit, but I'm curious if anyone else has noticed this seemingly poor build quality with the newer EliteBook 1040 G4 units?
