EliteBook 840 G5

The day before yesterday I made a bios update on my EliteBook 840 G5 (Multiboot Win10 Ubuntu). Yesterday the device suddenly turned off. I thought something was wrong in the power management. Since it was already late, I connected a power supply and went to sleep.

The next day it didn't turn on. To anticipate it: No matter what I tried then, whether with or without mypower supply, it can no longer be switched on. Does anybody have a hint? Thanks in advance!...

I first chose a procedure described on the HP support page: connect the power supply and hold the Windows and B button and then press the power button for 2-3s - to reset the BIOS. Even after several attempts, there is no bios screen.

Then I tried the following:If I press the power button for longer (15s), the CapsLock button lights up for about 5s. Otherwise nothing happens. This only works if the power supply is connected.

When I connect the power adapter, the Keyboard lightingand the wireless LED flashes for 1 second then the operating indicator lights up for 7 seconds and at the same time the BATTERY LED flashes seven times. I try to test another charger soon…

Any hints? Thank you!
