Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I had a bad battery and a few times I ran the computer for 30 minutes until the computer quit because of a dead battery.

I NOW have a good battery.  If I boot from the AC power  and then disconnect the AC power the laptop runs on the battery for over an hour.

The problem is the laptop will not boot from the battery only.  It gets to the "starting Windows" logo screen and hangs  (stops) there. I have let the computer set at this stage for 30 minutes with on change.

The computer boots OK with the AC power adapter.

1.   I have removed the battery and AC and pressed the start button for 30 seconds to drain the capacitors. This does not solve the problem.

2.   I have removed the battery and the AC power for 30 minutes to test the CMOS battery.  When the computer restarts the time and date are correct.

3.  I have ran the test (merory and hard drive) in the start up menue -- No errors
