Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello community,

I've had some issues since last week. The Keyboard of my EliteBook is not working as expected since then. There was no force onto the keyboard, no water incident or anything else, it just randomly appeared out of nowhere. It seems like the Capslock key is stuck forever if I press it once. It also gets activated if I push the shift key once. I cannot disable it after that. The only way to write something in non-capital letters afterwards is to push the shift key at the same time. The problem persists with an external (Microsoft) keyboard and with the on-screen-keyboard. I don't have the Windows 10 option changed for deactivation of capslock by changing it to shift key. The problem also persists in BIOS.

The only option for a working keyboard is to go to device manager, deactivate the keyboard, put in the external keyboard and everything works as expected (same with on-screen-keyboard). I'm kind of annoyed by this problem. Maybe the community can help with it? I already tried the HP Support Assistant, there is nothing to update. Windows Update says the same. Anybody knows where to find the Keyboard in devices? Any other good advice?

Thanks in advance!

BR Kevin
