Product: Envy Notebook Product #YOF94AV
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Want to connect a new ENVY Notebook Win 10 (listed above) with an old Pavilion dv6 (Win7) using a Ethernet to Ether net connection. Want to use a program called Zinstall Win Win to move over my files and application programs from the old computer to the new computer.
I understand that some computers require a cross over Ethernet cable. Many current computers do not need a crossover cable: they use Auto-Medium Dependent Interface Crossover (Auto-MDIX), and will automatically configure the Ethernet port.
Question: does anyone know if I can use the standard Ethernet cable?
