My operating system is MX-19 (Debian Linux). With an external monitor attached, my system will not reliably boot up. More often than not, it boots to blank screens on the laptop and the external monitor.  It will boot reliably to my desktop with the external monitor disconnected, but it is often very slow.  I think it may have something to do with UEFI. I've tried to disable Secure Boot, but my BIOS (Version F.14) doesn't have that option. How do I turn off UEFI, or is there another solution to my problem.

Thanks.
