Envy X360 15m-bp0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm trying to use an external monitor with my Envy laptop. The monitor is a Samsung S27B970D and I'm connecting it with HDMI. Windows detects the laptop in the display settings, but the display stays black and the monitor remains on standby. I got the Samsung drivers and tried many settings for resolution and refresh rate, but it still doesn't wake up. If I set it as an extended display and take a screenshot, it will capture both displays even though the external monitor is black. The monitor works fine with my desktop computer and with another laptop - and it was just plug and play with those. No tinkering and it worked perfectly. It's only a problem with the Envy.
