Fans always running - HP Omen 15 

 

Hi - I'm replying to various old thread because this particular problem was driving me nuts for 7 months, until I stumbled upon the solution (in my case) so hoping this may help others:

 

Try pressing Fn+F and waiting about 30 seconds.

Apparently Fn+F toggles 'fans on maximum speed' setting.

 

Related to this, other obscure key shortcuts that you probably pressed by accident and may drive you crazy:

fn + r Turns the touchpad off and on.
fn + t Turns the touch screen features off and on.
