HP Recommended

So I kind of like minecraft and wanted to install optifine for it, but when I get to the part where you can save and open the file, it doesn't open. Instead, a new tab pops up for a split second and then goes away. I don't know what model my computer is, but if anyone needs to know in order to help I will find out.
