EliteBook Folio G1, Windows 7 64-bit, fully updated.
In Device Manager, the trackpad appears as "PS/2 Compatible Mouse." I can install the Alps driver (sp79005) with no errors. But Device Manager still shows "PS/2 Compatible Mouse" and I do not get any GlidePoint configuration menu in the "Mouse" control panel item or elsewhere.
I tried manually updating the "PS/2 Compatible Mouse" driver to the Alps driver by directing it to the SWSetup directory and specifying the *.inf file via the "Have Disk" button, but it refuses to accept this as a compatible driver.
I tried uninstalling the PS/2 Compatible Mouse driver but with no success.
The Hardware ID of the trackpad shows up as ACPI\ALP010F.
I use multitouch gestures quite a bit for work so a solution would be much appreciated. Google fails me.
