After a reboot, the clickpad on my laptop works fine. Left and right (2 finger) clicks work fine with little effort. After a while, clicks will not register as easily. I'll have to click 2, 3 or more times to get the clicks to register and/or use more force. It will eventually get so bad that I have to restart.

I've installed latest drivers and BIOS from Windows Update and HP Support with no luck. I also don't think it's a hardware issue because the clickpad does function properly after a reboot.

Anyone have any suggestions for why the clickpad performance would gradually degrade like this?
