I have been connecting my laptop to my TV with a DisplayPort to HDMI cable.  It has worked for years.  It stopped working.  First I had the "resolution unsupported" message, now the "no signal" message.  At one point while trying to connect, I went to the desktop, looked at possible settings, and saw something similar to "Output digital signal" or something like that.  I tried it, and it made things worse, the screen went black and I could not undo it.  Now, when I connect the cable, my display goes black and my TV displays the "no signal" message.  Now, that graphics/display option has disappeared, so I can not undo it.

How can I undo that setting?  The next thing I wanted to try was to revert to a restore point to see if maybe some update messed me up.  My cable is only 6' long.

Thanks for your help!
