HP Recommended
Product: HP 2159m
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Samsung laptop running WIndows 10, laptop display is correct, but when connecting HDMI to run monitor HP 2159m as second screen, the windows on the HP 2159m go off the screen, cant see top, bottom, left or right edges of window.

I've read other users solutions to this problem,  like

1. update driver - but HP has no driver updates.
2. Change resolution - I've tried all available resolution settings, makes no difference.

3. reboot laptop, or disconnect and reconnect HDMI cable

 

Based on these results, I have come up with my own solution. 
* NEVER buy an HP monitor again.  They are not compatible with Windows, and HP will not work with Windows to get their drivers updated.  Thanks HP, great products!
