HP 250 G7 Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hello, I wanted to reply to another thread on this forum for using the Synaptics touch pad driver on an HP 250 G7 notebook running a different version of Windows. That other thread was very regrettably locked, but I have the URL for that thread here:

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Video-Display-and-Touch/HP-250-G7-which-Synaptics-Touchpad-dr...

On that thread, nobody was able to validate that the suggestions for making the driver install and activate were successful. I am here to say that, yes, it was successful for me, and I am very appreciative of everyone's help.

In SynPD.inf I added the following line:

%SMB.SynDeviceDesc% = MS_GROUP01_InterTouch_Inst,ACPI\SYN3286

This will cause the driver to be unverifiable during install due to tampering, but you can still chose to install anyways.

Thank you,

Nick
