Hi,

 

in the past couple of weeks my laptop has stopped charging over 80% and stops charging at around 74%-79% charged. A HP PC Hardware Diagnostics component test says the battery passed - test log is below. Multiple full discharge and charge cycles haven't fixed the issue.

 

The only thing in the test log that I see could be related is Primary_ChargeControl: Failed

 

What I have done recently is update the BIOS and I wonder if the BIOS update has added battery optimisation functionality which is preventing charging over 80%. I don't see any option in the BIOS relating to this though.
