HP Elitebook 850 G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have an HP Elitebook 850 G5.

I'm having an issue with one of my USB3.0 ports, that does not work in 3.0 mode.

When i connect my USB3.0 External HDD, only the right USB3.0 works in 3.0 mode. When i use the left USB port, the mode is not 3.0, and i get the message saying that "Device can perform faster when connected to an USB 3.0"

I also have an HP USB-C Dock G4 docking station, taht i connect to the Elitebook using the USB-C port, and i also have issues with the two USB3.0 ports in the dock:

If i connect the External HDD i also get the "Device can perform faster when connected to an USB 3.0" message.

I also get the same message for the Realtek USB Gbe Family Controller. So it looks the whole docking station is not working as it should be.

I have an USB3.0 to VGA adapter that only works in the right USB port. Using the left, or any of the docking station USB3.0 ports, it goes to usb2.0 mode, and i do not have the maximum resolution.

I already tried different BIOS settings for the thunderbolt options, and installed the latest drivers...

Any thoughts?

Thanks.
