Product: HP 8740w
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I'm fixing an Elitebook 8740w and the battery wont charge.  I used a shop charger and it did not charge the battery.   I bought a new charger and it did not charge the battery.  Both charger did not power the unit on without the battery.  I bought a battery and it started the unit but it ran out of power and everything came a to a halt.

I removed the battery and ac adapter then pressed the power button for 1 minute.  Nothing changed.

Its currently connected to power.  The battery charger light blinks 9 times.  Any thoughts?
