Hi,

I'm trying to connect an iPhone 5 to this 8760W laptop via Bluetooth but failing spectacularly so hope someone can point me in the right direction.

On the 8760W i can add the Bluetooth device (iPhone 5) and pair it successfully so it shows iPhone Paired. However, on the iPhone the 8760W is listed after pairing but it's status shows Not Connected. When you look into the info for the paired device on the iPhone it shows "Connection Unsuccessful 8760W is not supported". The iPhone 5 connects successfully to all manner of other Bluetooth devices so its Bluetooth is working.

As part of troubleshooting I tried to connect my old LG KP500 mobile phone and again it pairs with the 8760W but attempts at sending pictures from LG to 8760W gives a message that the connection is disconnected.

The OS is 64 bit W10 version 10.0.17763 build 17763 and there are no further updates available. The iPhone OS is also up to date.

Device Manager shows all Bluetooth entries as working correctly and troubleshooter also confirms that all drivers for the phones are the latest versions so newer ones aren't available.

Apple support have been singularly unhelpful stating that iPhone 5s are classified as obsolete products so no support is available, but in any case I suspect it is just some configuration issues on the 8760W since 2 separate phones won't connect to it.

Any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Warm regards.

George
