I’ve recently encountered issues with the touch screen for my HP Elitebook. It was not functioning and the HID compliant touch screen driver was not appearing in the device manager, even under hidden devices. Tried to search for driver updates and there were none. I tried all of the steps on the HP help page and nothing worked. I tried to install an older touch screen driver which didn’t work. I then decided to reset the computer. Touch screen still not working. Oh and the touch screen is functional on the hardware test screen. Then I decided to update the BIOS. This is when my touchpad stopped working. I now have a laptop that I can only navigate through the keyboard. The fingerprint reader still works though. So I decided to try a reset again. Didn’t work. Then I tried the windows fresh start. Still nothing. And now I am here. Someone please help me. It seems to me it’s just a driver issue but I can’t find these drivers online anywhere!
