We have just received a new model of x360 in the office (HP Elitebook x360 1040 G8) and it doesn't seem it came with a trackpad driver installed. I imaged it to our company build successfully and even after building the laptop, no trackpad installed anywhere/nothing showing in device manager for that laptop.
Checked the G8 drivers' page to find out that there isn't a mouse Synaptics driver for that model. It seems anything past HP Elitebook x360 1040 G6 does not have a set driver for the trackpad.
Tried installing the previous models' trackpad driver without any luck.
Any idea why the driver does not exist/hasn't been posted on the HP website yet?
Additional Info:
- Windows Specs: Windows 10 Enterprise Version 20H2
- OS: 19042.928
Thanks,
Simon
