Elitebook x360 830 G7
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

Our organization purchased a number of HP Elitebook x360 830 G7 and Elitebook 840 G7 laptops last year.  Randomly, we are seeing with different ones where they will not power on (even though the battery is charged) without the AC adapter being plugged in.   They are not old, so I don't see how batteries could be failing already.  Battery tests pass.  If you pull the power after they are up, no issue.  It is not consistent either, where it will happen on mine, for example, and at some other point in time, mine will power up without the adapter.  Do these laptops have some sort of defect?  Having a laptop means that you won't always have access to power.  If they don't turn on, it makes them useless.  This will cause us issues and support calls, if not resolved.  I just updated the bios from 06/2020 to 05/2021, and will try to recreate again.   I'm not sure if anyone has seen this before/known issue?
