HP Omen 15-ek1013dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a usb 2.1 cable also the port on my monitor is usb 2.0 and the port supposedly on the laptop is hdmi 2.0a.

Why then for the life of me, if all 3 of those things are correct, the computer won't display 144 hertz? In windows display settings and also in the intel grraphics command center the max refresh rate of my external monitor is 60hertz. I have a second monitor plugged in via display port that displays 144 hertz fine. Just the monitor connected via hdmi is only at 60. The monitor I have is  LG 32GK650F-B.

Not sure what is going on. All the ports and the cable is hdmi 2.0. Please help. Thanks!
