HP Omen 17 model AN012dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So recently I decided to upgrade the storage on my HP Omen 17 (model AN012dx) and got a Samsung 970 nvme ssd. I followed a guide I found from someone else who also upgraded the same laptop in the same way (from this support post) and it worked great. I followed the instructions and everything was going great. I was making a lot of file transfers to this new drive and I know for a fact the computer was charging and working through the night. The next morning, I sat down and was combing through some files to find game data and realized the charger had come out. I plugged it back in only to find that the laptop didn't register that it was charging at all or even that it was plugged in. The battery eventually ran out but before it did, I made sure the drivers were up to date on the ac adapter and the battery itself. I've used a multimeter on the charger and the ac adapter to make sure it wasn't them and they both seem to work fine (outputting the correct 19.5 V). I'm unsure how to check the battery. If someone could help me out I'd very much appreciate it.
