Hi, I have an hp omen with a gtx 1070. I'm trying to use an external box with the thunderbolt 3 port. It shows up but it will not switch from the gtx 1070 to the 2080 in the egpu box. This model has the 8750h intel cpu and no way to enable the on chip gpu. Is there a way to make the 2080 drive the notebook screen? I've disabled the 1070, uninstalled the 1070 and it still won't use the 2080 as the primary display adapter. If anyone knows how to make it do that? I understand it needs a mux switch to switch between different graphics cards. If it isn't possible and doesn't have one just let me know. Nvidia optimus is of course not used because the onboard intel gpu is not active. I just need to know if I can use it or if it's not possible. Thanks for any help.
