After just 18 months of use, my laptop's hinges failed and caused the screen to pop out (not yet cracked but I was told that that could be next) - just like the countless posts that I have read here, on BestBuy.com, and online - there is a significant problem with the hinges on these 360 laptops that eventually will render the laptop useless. The only two options that HP has offered me because I am "out of warranty" (how convenient) - is A) $150 to repair the problem (after reducing their rate from $500 - only a couple of hundred less than the original cost of the laptop)  or B) $120 to put towards the purchase of another one of their horrible laptops. HP had a recall for this issue a few years back and here it is again - however, the older recall does not apply to their renewed problem. I looked for the part needed to replace the hinge and asked that they cover it - but no reply. I should not have to be out of pocket for ANY repairs when HP knows that these hinges are defective. SHAMEFUL!!
